After a successful business career as an entrepreneur in the technology sector, having founded and sold two companies, Paul now primarily operates as a non-executive chairman and director.
He is chairman of both the Clear Group and M Institute. He is also a non-executive director of other businesses and organisations, including board director and chair of the audit committee of the UK regulator - the Financial Reporting Council. Previously, he was president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), chairman of CCAB (the 6 UK accounting bodies) and a member of the City Takeover Panel.
