Following a highly successful business career as an entrepreneur in the technology sector, Paul operates as a non-executive chairman and director for a number of businesses and organisations.
As co-founder and chairman of the M Institute, he is able to bring his practical experience and thought leadership skills to the table based on a career in both medium enterprises themselves and in the political arena.
He has a keen interest in accounting for sustainability, at European and global levels. In this regard, he is chairs both the Sustainability Policy Group of Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens (FEE) as well as the Accounting for Sustainability Forum under the auspices of the Prince of Wales.
Formerly, Paul was president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, chairman of the CCAB (the six UK accounting bodies), a board director and council member of the Financial Reporting Council (including chair of the Audit Committee), and member of the City Takeover Panel.
